William "Bud" Mason

William “Bud” Hugh Mason, 84, of Bessemer City passed away at his home on July 1, 2021. He was born November 12, 1936, in Gaston County to the late William Everette and Pearl Mae Neal Mason.

Bud was avid gardener who loved nature and the outdoors, in his earlier years he enjoyed traveling the United States. He spent 45 years in Oregon before retiring and returning to Gaston County.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Diane Mason, and Annie Mae Jackson; brother Robert Wayne Mason, he was also preceded in death by his beloved fur baby companion Heidi.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers James Mason (Lenita), and Charles Mason (Ann); nieces, Gwen Mason and Linda Twardos (Joe); special great nephew Elliott Twardos; numerous other nieces and nephews.
