Wanda McEntyre Walker, 54, of Bessemer City, passed away April 18, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington. She was born on April 15, 1959 in Gaston County, to Starlene McKeehan McEntyre and the late Furman "Bud" David McEntyre, Sr..
Wanda was a loving daughter and sister, who was a firm believer in Christ. She enjoyed fishing, camping, the mountains and flowers.
She was survived by her mother Starlene McEntyre; sisters Lanita Carver, Angela Bradley; brothers Furman David McEntyre, Jr., Buford David McEntyre, James Dale McEntyre and Michael Leonard McEntyre all of Bessemer City; numerous nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday at Trinity Independent Baptist Church, Bessemer City with Rev. Eric Ross officiating.
Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery, Bessemer City.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
