Virginia Smith

Virginia Smith, 80, of Bessemer City, passed away April 27, 2012, at Levin Dickson Hospice House.  She was born January 21, 1932 in Davidson County to the late Jeff and Clara Medlin.



Virginia worked with Dixie Yarns. She loved her children, grandchildren and flowers.



Her funeral service will be held at 1:30pm Tuesday, May 1st 2012 at Revival Tabernacle in Mt. Holly, with Rev. John Mayberry officiating.



Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.



Visitation will be from 12 until 1:30pm, at the church, prior to the service.



She is survived by her sons; Eric Smith and Cheryl of Gastonia, Aaron Smith and Paulette of Bessemer City, Lester Smith and Debbie of Belmont, Alex Smith and Debbie of Gastonia, Cassel Smith and Kathy of Lincolnton; Daughter, Ava Baynard and Earl of Gastonia; Brother, William Medlin of Hickory; Sister Barbara Medlin of High Point; 15 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her husband Patterson Smith.
