Violet Gentry

Violet Elaine Pendleton Gentry, 72, passed away May 12, 2013 at Heath House, Lincolnton. She was born on January 5, 1941 to the late Herbert and Burree Hilderbran Pendleton.

Violet was a member of 8th Street Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Joe Gentry; and 7 brother; and grandson, Todd Chestine.

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Kiser and husband, Gary of Crouse, and Paula Chestine and husband, Matthew of Dallas; brothers, Rev. Ronnie Pendleton and wife, Faye of Bessemer City, and Rev. Johnny Pendleton, and wife, Jan of Dallas; granddaughters, Allison Nichole Kiser and Tonya Marie Chestine; and great-grandchildren, Ziggy Joe Chestine, and Ariel Todd Aleana Haynie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at 8th Street Church of God with Rev. Ronnie Pendleton and Rev. Johnny Pendleton officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Thursday at 8th Street Church of God.
