Suzanne "Susie" Helms Slaton, 62, of Bessemer City, passed away June 19, 2013, at CMC- Mercy, Charlotte. She was born on April 15, 1951 in Gaston County to Emma Jean Helms and also the daughter of the late Frank and Eva Helms.
Suzanne was a former book keeper for Moss Drugs, Total Care, GMH Home health and Toyota of Gastonia.
Suzanne is survived by her brother, Casey Helms and wife Kristi of Mt. Holly; sisters, Marie Schrum and Jenna Taylor both of Bessemer City; nieces and nephews, Abbie Gibson, Devin Vargo, Noah Shrum, Sierra Vargo, and Dalton Taylor.
Family will receive friends from 6:30- 8:30 pm Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
