Starlene McEntyre

Martha Starlene McKeehan McEntyre, 86, of Bessemer City passed away on January 18, 2026, at her home. She was born on July 2, 1939, to the late James Woodrow McKeehan and Jenny Vinette Lockridge McKeehan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Furman D McEntyre, Sr.; son, James Dale McEntyre; daughters, Wanda M McEntyre, Lanita V. McEntyre Carver, and Angela R. Bradley; brothers, Larry McKeehan and Ralph McKeehan; sisters, Cheryl Hullett, and Debbie McKeehan; granddaughter, Shantina McEntyre; grandson, Eric McEntyre.

Starlene was a member at Trinity Baptist Church. She loved to paint and sew. She enjoyed working in her garden and loved her flowers.

Those left to cherish her memory include son, Furman McEntyre, Jr. (Tabitha) of Bessemer City; sister, Bernice Gibson in Dallas; grandchildren, Savannah Lutz (Shadwick) of Bessemer City, David Mathis (Jessica), Nick Bradley(Mary), Derick Fowler, Jamey McEntyre, Stephanie McEntyre, Petey Clack, April Clack, and Kristy Huber; and 19 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 am on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

Starlene’s funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Bernice Gibson officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery
