DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN
RONALD BLACK
Ronald Eugene "Ron" Black, 55, of Kings Mountain, passed away May 16, 2012, at home. He was born June 6, 1956 in Cleveland County to L. D. Black of Grover and the late Marie Sims Black.
Ronald was a devoted husband, and a caring father, grandfather, son and brother. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and loved ones.
Ronald was a member of the Shelby chapter of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. He was formerly employed by Allied Barton Security. Ron loved fishing and vacationing in the mountains. He was a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and attended Gaston College for two years.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home in Bessemer City with Rev. Robbie Stinson officiating.
Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00-12:45 PM Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 34 years, Vickie Ramsey Black; daughter, Amy Black and boyfriend Eddie Carroll of Kings Mountain; son, Ronald Eugene Black II and wife Jessica of Shelby; sisters, Kay McDaniel of Grover, Lorri Camp of Wilmington; grandchildren, Courtland Douville, Hannah and Alana Black.
