ROB PAYNE, SR.



Robert Preston "Rob" Payne, Sr., 47, of Bessemer City, passed away May 29, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Gaston County on March 10, 1965, to Heidi Marie Janke Payne of Bessemer City and the late Larry Lamar Payne.



In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert R. Payne Jr. of Bessemer City; daughters, Amanda L. Payne and Ashley T. Payne, both of Bessemer City; sister, Lisa Payne Johnson of Gastonia;  aunt, Patricia Sosebee of Dallas; cousin, Jon David Robinson of Cherryville.



In addition to his father, Rob was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Moody E. and Bonnie C. Payne and his maternal grandparents, Kurt and Johanna Janke.



His memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday at Westview Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Fain Farmer officiating.



Visitation will be held one hour before the service at Westview Gardens Mausoleum.
