Obituary

In loving memory of Robert Brian Johnson,

Robert Brian Johnson was born on October 1st, 1965, and passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 4, 2026.

Robert is a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and cherished friend. Robert was a true blessing to everyone who has the privilege of knowing him. He was a hard-working man known for his character, dedication, and generosity. Robert carried deep love and dedication to his family. Robert was the kind of person who took great pride in all he did and gave all himself to be the best he could be. He cherished the time he spent at plastic products where he was known for bringing laughter, friendship, and his good-natured sense of humor into the workplace. For Robert work was not just about what he did it was about the relationships and memories he built along the way.

Robert had a special way of showing his love. He was a true jokester who loved to pick, tease, and cut up with the people around him. His playful sense of humor brought laughter to many moments, for those who knew him best. That was his way of showing his love and care he had for everyone around him. Robert found joy in the simple moments in life. He loved fishing, boating, camping, playing golf, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends. His favorite place to be was Lake Wylie, where he enjoyed camping, overnight stays, relaxing by the water, casting his fishing lines. The moments he spent at the lake were some of the memories he cherished the most. Robert also enjoyed playing pool, and carp fishing. He especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, making memories, sharing stories, and enjoying the special bond they shared.

Robert Brian Johnson was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Strickland Johnson and his father Garlas (Garl) Johnson.

Robert was survived by his children, Derek O'Brian Johnson (Kailynn Johnson), Brittany Johnson, Robert Justin Johnson (Bailey Johnson) who he loved deeply and cherished always.

Robert was a loving and proud grandfather to Mckenzie Huggins, Mckaylee Johnson, Bryson Johnson, Konnor Johnson, Landon Johnson, Kayson Johnson, Madelynne Johnson, Drake Johnson, John Luke Johnson, Avery Kate Johnson. His grandchildren brought light and love to his life, as he did to theirs. A love between a pawpaw and his grandbabies is like no other on this earth.

Robert was a loving and devoted brother to Kenneth Johnson (Ber-nice Johnson), Tammy Johnson (Jack Propst), Eddie Johnson (Debbie Johnson), Barry Johnson (Tony Johnson), whose bond was unbreakable and cherished throughout their entire lives. Also, his nieces are Jackie Johnson, Jessica Johnson, and nephew Dwyane Propst. As well as his aunts Joyce Reeves and Irene Queen and cousin Billy Queen. His love for his family was so pure and unmatched.

Robert will always be remembered for the love he gave, the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the countless memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Robert's love, kindness, humor, and the impact he made on the lives around him will never be forgotten. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his memory will continue to live on through his family, his friends, and all the moments that remind us of the man he was.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date, time, and location to be announced by his children.

“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”

Until we meet again…
