Randy "BoBo" Groves

Randy “BoBo” Ray Groves, 53, of Gastonia passed away on January 28, 2026. He was born on May 8, 1972, in Gaston County, to Phyllis Howard Thomas and the late Jerry Ray Groves.

He is preceded in death by his father; and brother, A.C. Townsend.

BoBo was an avid sports fan, and his favorite team was the Oakland Raiders.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Phyllis Howard Thomas; brother, Shane Groves (LeeAnn) of Gastonia; and several nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:45 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City.

BoBo’s memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Cook officiating.
