Patricia Cannon Baxter Rayfield, 88, of Bessemer City passed away on December 12, 2025, at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain. She was born on January 29, 1937, to the late Paul Cannon and Lela Norwood Cannon.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Max Durant Baxter, Sr., second husband, Dalton Rayfield, grandson, Randolph Henry Rosdahl, Jr., son-in-law, Calvin Briggs Albright, brother, Paul Dean Cannon, and sisters, Evelyn Cannon Collins, and Delores Cannon Wilson.
Patricia was a member at Ragan Wesleyan Church for 63 years. She loved to sew. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Patricia will be greatly missed by all who loved and cared for her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Max Durant Baxter, Jr. (Mary Lou), daughters, Denise Baxter Wallace (Walt), Kay Baxter Albright, Cheryl Baxter Bartlett (David), and Sandra Baxter Rosdahl (Henry), grandchildren, Ami Parker, Alan Parker, Kelly James, Jeff Albright, Steven Bartlett, Erin Morehead, Andrew Baxter, and Amanda Summit, 13 great children, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.
Patricia’s funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Ragan Wesleyan Church with Reverend John Harper officiating.
Interment will follow at Westview Gardens Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to the Ragan Wesleyan Church.
