Mavis Geraldine King Rose, 88, of Bessemer City passed away on May 19, 2025, at home. She was born on June 23, 1936, to the late Lawrence Asbury King and Dimple Cook King.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Howard Rose; brother, Wade King; sons-in-law, Paul Rex Allen, Tommy Swangim, and Edward Williams; grandson, Paul Sidney Allen, and great grandson, Walker Morgan
Mavis was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She loved to go camping, crocheting quilts, and making fabric quilts, playing bingo, putting puzzles together, and gardening her flowers and vegetable garden. She spoiled everyone’s dogs. Mavis loved all of her sons-in-laws like her own.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Judith Allen, Sharon Swangim (Mike), Angela Waters, (Joseph), Elaine Williams (Rex), and Catherine Medford (Kenny); grandchildren, Shylan, Nicolia, Caroline, Connie, Kenneth, Heather, Jessica, Blake, and Logan; 24 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
