Mary "Libby" Elizabeth Nash

Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Nash, 81, of Bessemer City passed away on April 19, 2026, at Peak Resources Gastonia. She was born on September 18, 1944, to the late Robert Lee Nash Sr. and Eunice Irvine Nash.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert Lee Nash, Jr., J.I. Nash, and Charlie R. Nash; sisters, Norma Jean Nash White, and Demaris Nash Turner, sister-in-law, Becky Lynn Nash.

Libby was a member at First Baptist Church, Bessemer City. She loved to make children’s clothes.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Thomas A. Nash, Sr., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Libby’s graveside service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Gomez officiating.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
