Macie Louise Poole

Macie “Louise” Poole, 77, of Gastonia passed away on January 11, 2026, at Caromont Regional. She was born on January25, 1948, to the late Harlon Melton and Carrie Philbeck Melton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Poole, and sister, Elizabeth Jones.

Louise was a member at Landmark Baptist Church. She adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her entire family. She loved to do the puzzle books and reading her Bible.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Susan Hembree of Gastonia, Yvonne Moore (Jeremy) of Gastonia; brothers, Jim Melton (Ethel) of Gastonia, and Steve Melton of Gastonia; sister, Mildred Waters of Clover, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brittany Stocker, Mersadie Marenco, Carrie Woolard, Skyler Moore, and Alexia Moore; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45 on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Landmark Baptist Church.

Louise’s funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Reverend Forrest Hennessee.

Interment will be at Westview Gardens Cemetery.
