KENNETH HAMRICK

Kenneth Marvin Hamrick, 70, of Moravian Falls, NC formerly of Gastonia passed away on April 21, 2014 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. He was born April 4, 1944 in Lincoln County to the late Dewey Creighton and Emma Hawkins Hamrick.

Kenneth served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy, Dean, Johnny and Butch.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Kathy Phillips Hamrick; daughters, Scarlett Kay Hamrick of Moravian Falls, Kim Hamrick of Gastonia, Kellie Hamrick Lafar and husband Sean of Surf City, NC; godchildren, Dillon Gooch and Kayla Gooch; brother, Raymond Jerry Hamrick, Sr. of Lincolnton; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Pastor Kevin Brinegar officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City with military rites by the Bessemer City American Legion Post 243 Honor Guard .

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. at the funeral home.
