Katherine Lee Bolding

Katherine Lee Brooks Bolding, 77, of Gastonia passed away on January 7, 2026, at Caromont Regional. She was born on October 4, 1948, to the late Charles Brooks and Pauline McDonald.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Lon Brooks, and Adam Brooks, sisters, Brenda Robinson, and Gracie Robinson, grandson, Cody A Bolding.

She was a member at Charity Independent Baptist Church. She loved collecting dolls. She enjoyed going shopping and she loved jewelry. Katherine adored her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, Jerry Bolding, Sr., sons, Jerry Bolding, Jr (Tonya) of Dallas, Timothy Bolding (Joann) of Cherryville, and Mark Bolding, Sr. (Jetty) of Kings Mountain, brothers, Charles Brooks (Rosemary) of Gastonia, and Kain Brooks (Sandy) of Gastonia, sister, Ruby Gibson of Gastonia, 14 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

Katherine’s funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Reverend Ronnie Pressley and Pastor Chris Doster officiating

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
