Johnny Sessoms

Johnny Victor Sessoms, 76, of Gastonia, passed away on January 29, 2014 at home. He was born July 19, 1937 to the late Benjamin and Alma Barnette Sessoms.
Johnny was a retired electrical lineman after having proudly served his country in both the United States Army as well as the United States Air Force. His greatest enjoyment was the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by sons, Dennis Sessoms of Grover, David Sessoms of Charlotte, Victor Sessoms of Crowders Mountain; sister, Brenda Cogdill and husband James of Gastonia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Margie Gantt, brother, Benjamin Sessoms, Jr.
His funeral services will be held in the Sisk-Butler Chapel at 2:00 PM on Saturday February 1st with Rev. Roy Clark officiating.
Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer with military honors by American Legion Post 243 of Bessemer City, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
