Inez Gilbert

Inez Carpenter Gilbert, 85, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017, at home. She was born March 17, 1932 in Gaston County, daughter to the late Carl and Lela Carpenter.

Inez retired as a spinner from the Arlington Plant

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Gilbert; two brothers, Furman and Glenn; three sisters, Beatrice, Vergie, and Louise.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Bobby Gilbert and wife Teresa of McConnells, SC; and Ricky Gilbert of Gastonia; 3 granddaughters, Brandi, Tabitha, and Sabrina; 2 great-grandchildren, Bentley and Kelsea.

The family will receive friends from to 1 to 3 PM Tuesday September 26, 2017 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City.

Interment, officiated by Rev. Robin Taylor, will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
