Hazel Loyd

Hazel McGee Loyd, age 86, of Charlotte passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on March 10, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Curline Jacobs McGee. Hazel loved going to her church, Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness in Fort Mill, SC, and talking with her preacher, Pastor Carl, when she was able. She was a full Native American and loved cooking home-cooked meals. Hazel also enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart and The 700 Club. But most of all, her family meant the world to her. She cherished their time together and the memories they shared. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepmother Eva McGee and brothers Bobby & Hersley McGee.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Debbie Davis, Dewey Bailey, Jr. (Becky), Richard Bailey, Salley Bailey Perkins, and Tony Bailey; grandchildren Bobby Bailey (Angie), Jeremy Davis (Katie), Erin Sigmon (Lee), Melisssa Flemings (Johnny), Michael Bailey, and Hannah Stancil (Chris); great-grandchildren Tiffany, Oliva, & Blake Bailey, Rylin, Landon, & Avery Sigmon, Alera Campbell, Lucas Flemings, Roman Bailey, and Kayla, Morgan, & Adrienne Davis; brother Henry McGee; sister Marie Scotts (Michael); sister-in-law Elizabeth McGee; along with a number of nieces, nephews, and friends that loved her dearly.

Hazel’s Memorial Service will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church, 333 US Highway 21 Bypass S, Fort Mill, SC 29715, with Pastor Carl Williams officiating.
