GERALD  EMORY  BEAVER



Gerald Emory Beaver, 71, passed away May 9, 2012, at his home in Gastonia.  He was born August 17, 1940 in Gaston County to Emory A. Beaver and the late Oma Williams Beaver.



Gerald worked as an electrician at Westvaco Corporation for 39 years.  He was a wonderful husband and dedicated family man.  His life was devoted to his family.



A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont with Rev. David Scruggs, Sr. and Dr. L. J. Barnes officiating.



Visitation will be from 2:00-3:30 PM Sunday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home in Bessemer City.



He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elda Woody Beaver; sons, James Beaver and fiancée Nancy, Eric Todd Beaver and fiancée Melinda all of Gastonia; daughter, Teresa Chitwood and husband Robbie of Gastonia; brothers, Mayford Beaver,  Carl Beaver and wife Easter all of Gastonia; sister Linda Burchfield and husband Marshall of Blacksburg, SC; father, Emory A. Beaver and wife Sylvia of Blacksburg; special brothers-in-law, Richard Woody and Marshall Burchfield; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
