Ernest "Gene" Paysour

Ernest “Gene” Lester Paysour, 76, of Dallas, passed away at CaroMont Regional on August 1, 2023. He was born November 27,1946 in Gaston County, to the late James Lester Paysour and Alice Stockton.

He is preceded in death by brother Frank Reid Paysour.

The family is left with fond memories of Gene, even thru his rough “guy exterior”. Gene had a loving heart and loved his family dearly. He took enjoyment in tinkering with old vehicles and working on lawn mowers.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Steven Paysour, David Paysour; daughters Kellie Keough (Mike), Sherry Paysour; brothers, James Paysour (Nina), Larry Paysour, Cornelius Paysour (Dot); sisters, Doris Head, Frances Burtrum (Mike), Darlene Pruett (Merle), Barbara Oates (Henry); numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Friday, August 4, 2023.

Ernest’s memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2023, with Pastor Ron Duncan officiating.
