Edward Chitwood

Edward "Ed" Thomas Chitwood, 89, passed away at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas Tuesday January 15, 2019. He was born on October 7, 1929 in Franklin County, Georgia to the late B. H. and Lula Mae Vaughn Chitwood.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Catherine Chitwood; daughters Kathy C. Seagle and husband Terry of Stanley, Martha C. Gibson and husband Mike of Bessemer City, Frances "Sis" Chitwood of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Ed was a retired truck driver from DeHart (now Foothills Trucking) after 32 years of service. He was a member of Lincolnton Church of God.

A celebration of Ed's life, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Richard King officiating

His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2019 at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
