Doris Jean Voiselle

Doris Voiselle passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 11, 2026, surrounded by family.

Doris was born January 10, 1951 in Kings Mountain, NC to the late Edgar and Margie Dellinger.

She spent nearly 50 years caring for others during her nursing career. She served patients and families in Intensive Care Units, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and their homes with care and compassion. She was a member of Firestone Wesleyan Church and supporter of Gastonia Street Ministry.

In addition to her family, she loved her dogs, celebrating Christmas, visiting Disney World, working with stained glass, and Rod Stewart.

Her legacy will continue through the family that remains to honor her memory: her husband, John Voiselle; her siblings Jimmy (Doodle) and Becky Dellinger; sons Chris (Stephanie), Chad (Jennifer), and Josh (Carie) Robinson; grandchildren Tara (Tyler), Ethan (Kaitlyn), Cameron, Carson (Dustin), Dylan, Gavin, Ragan, Hayden, and Chloe; great-grandchildren Marley, Hendrix, and Harrison; and many cousins and dear friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, September 16, at 3:00 pm at Firestone Wesleyan Church. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Chris Stadler.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of Chris and Stephanie Robinson.
