Doras Yarborough, Jr.

Doras James “DJ” Yarborough, Jr., 90, formerly of Bessemer City, passed away at Sherrills Ford Hospice House, on August 5, 2021. He was born July 11, 1931, in Moore County to the late Doras and Estelle Wiseman Yarborough.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Louise Fields Yarborough.

DJ was retired from Reeves Brothers after 37 years of service.

He is survived by his sons, David Wayne Yarborough (Mary Pat), Dwight James Yarborough (Marsha); daughter, Gwyn Charlene Harmon (Larry); grandchildren, Allison Ann Yarborough, Nicholas Yarborough, Theodore Yarborough, David Wayne Yarborough Jr.; sisters, Edna Cole, and Jerolene Kjelland (Mark); extended family

Shane Lynch (Marcia) and Jason Lynch; step-great-grandchildren, Jenna Lynch.

DJ’s graveside service will be private.
