Betty Jean White Nicholson, 85, of Gastonia, died peacefully on March 13, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living, Gastonia. She was born on March 14, 1930 in Gaston County, NC to the late Otis and Martha Wilson White.
She loved camping, cooking and her dolls.
Betty Jean was survived by her sons Bill Nicholson and wife June of Gastonia and Larry Hensley of Shallotte, NC; daughter Nancy Elizabeth Bright and husband Tyrone of Gastonia; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be private
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Nicholson, Sr. and daughter Sandra Alexander.
