Betty Jo Best Morrison, 76, of Dallas, passed away at Caromont Regional on March 4, 2025. She was born October 26, 1948, in Gaston County, to the late George Samuel Best and Lillie Mae Costner Best.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Rodger Best and Lloyd Best; and sister, Brenda Joyce.
Betty Jo was a member of Mount Beulah Baptist Church for twenty plus years. She loved her grandkids, her church, her pastor, and the van ministry. She enjoyed seeing children come to church with her. Betty Jo had a love for ministry and made a big impact for the Lord. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Family members left to cherish her memories include her son, Bryan Parker (Nancy); daughter, Wendy Burton (Ray); brother, Boyd Best (Valerie); grandkids, Ruby, Gabriel, J.R., Angel, Josh and Colton Burton; nephews, Dale Best, Darren Best; niece, Destiny; and several great grandkids.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, 2025.
Betty Jo’s Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastor Robert Austin officiating.
Inurnment will be with the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Friends of TN Babies with Special Needs, PO Box 544, Alcoa, TN 37701, or to Mount Beulah Van Ministry, 5306 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
