Beth Depew

Beth Louise Sackrider Depew, 81, of Gastonia, NC, passed away on March 2, 2014 at Belaire Health Care Center, Gastonia. She was born January 1, 1933 in Wamego, Kansas to the late Wilford and Bertha Sackrider.

Beth graduated with honors from Wichita Business College, Wichita, Kansas in 1950. She finished a successful business career at Gaston College in the Human Resource Department, Gastonia, NC. Beth never had a harsh word to say about anyone. She always found something good in everyone.

Beth is survived by her husband of 63 years. She married Lynn Depew on March 30, 1951. Beth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Daughters, Debbie Birk and husband Dan of Gastonia, Julie Green of Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren, Ashley Birk (34), Courtney Birk (31), Evan Green (18), Brett Green (16); sisters, Florence Liebi (95) of California, MO, Sharon Callahan (74) of Gastonia, NC;

Beth is preceded in death by five brothers, 3 sisters and son-in-law Kelly Green.

Her memorial service will be private.
