BEATRICE  PLAYER



Beatrice Smith Player, 85, of Bessemer City, passed away May 8, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.  She was born January 11, 1927 in Pickens County, SC to the late Chester Franklin and Inez Mulligan Smith.



Beatrice attended First Wesleyan Church in Bessemer City and she retired from Firestone Mills after 40 years of service.



Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City with Rev. Wes Brown officiating.



Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.



Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.



She is survived by her daughter, Judy Player Kelly and husband Rick of Bessemer City, step-daughter, Patricia Alexander of Bessemer City, NC; son-in-law, Buzz Williams of Florida; grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Nicole Williams, Todd Kelly, Olivia Hood, Jennifer Nichols, Cheryl Gibson, Ashley Montpetit; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah, Preston, Aidra, Cash, Lylian, Averie, Lucas, Liam, Isak, Owen, Hanna



She is preceded in death by her husband Moses Player; daughter, Mary P. Williams; son, Paul Player; step-son, Larry Douglas Player
