Annie Lee Clayton

Annie Lee Styers Clayton, 79, of Bessemer City, passed away at Sherrills Ford Hospice House on September 30, 2024. She was born August 31, 1945, in Cleveland County, North Carolina to the late William “Ows” Styers and Georgie Oatsie McGinnis Styers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jack Charles Clayton.

Ann loved the beach, especially Emerald Isle and Topsail Beach. Prior to her health declining, she bred and raised miniature poodles and loved to travel. She worked for many years at Spectrum as a yarn spinner. She had many odd jobs after, mainly in the hospitality business.

Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Jackie Kennedy (Ray), Beverly Clayton; son, Chuck Clayton (Donna); grandchildren, Ronnie Kennedy (Shaina), Amber Boyce, Taylor Moser (Jonathan), Adam Clayton, Caroline Clayton, Nicholas Clayton, and Hope Clayton; great grandchildren, Ayden Kennedy, Avery Kennedy, Kinsley Kennedy, Avelyn Kennedy, Jeremiah Boyce, Annaleigh Boyce, and Abigail Boyce.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

Ann’s Graveside Service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt. Olivet Rd., Concord, NC 28025 with Pastor Ray Kennedy officiating
